TURKEY’S PURPLAST INVESTS IN THE SKOPJE 1 FREE ZONE

Today in the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, Aleksandar Mladenovski, CEO of North Macedonia Free Zones, and Mehmet Sismanoglu, CEO of Turkey’s Purplast, signed a long-term lease agreement for construction land in the Skopje 2 free zone. Purplast has leased 26,266m² in the free zone, and the plant that will be built is their first outside of the Republic of Turkey.

Aleksandar Mladenovski pointed out that the initial contact with the company Purplast was established only two months ago, and underlined that it is a company with 40 years of experience in manufacturing plastic components for the automotive industry. The Turkish company Purplast is expected to initially invest up to €12 million and create 300 new jobs.

“The company operates in the automotive industry, exporting its products to 36 countries worldwide. In the industrial capacity of the Skopje 2 free zone, the investor will produce plastic masks and other plastic components for the company Van Hool and many other companies that produce buses and trucks”, stated Aleksandar Mladenovski.
