Construction of KSS Plant Under Way in Kicevo Free Zone

U.S. company Key Safety Systems (KSS) organized a promotional event to celebrate the implementation of their investment project in the Kicevo Free Zone.

The US company manufactures airbags, seat belts and engineered safety products. KSS’ global locations include 34 facilities in 12 countries. It launched a brownfield investment in downtown Kicevo, where currently 72 people have been hired. The new building is expected to be constructed by late October.

The plant, an investment worth €20 million, will manufacture airbags for cars, and will open 1,000 new jobs.

KSS is a global leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of automotive safety-critical components and systems including inflators, airbags, steering wheels, and seat belts. Its products are featured in more than 300 vehicle models produced by over 60 well-diversified customers worldwide.
