FIRST ALBANIAN COMPANY INVESTS IN MACEDONIA’S FREE ZONES
Albanian company Sagen held a groundbreaking ceremony today in the Skopje 1 free zone. The company plans to invest over €20 million, and ultimately employ up to 300 people. The Tirana based company plans to develop the project in two phases, and has purchased a parcel in the Skopje 1 free zone encompassing an area of 28,000m².
Sagen’s pharmaceutical plant will manufacture BFS (blow-fill seals), PFS (prefilled syringes), steriles, galenics. generic drugs in liquid, semi-liquid and tertiary packaging of drugs, as well as assemble infusion sets.
Once the first phase of construction is completed, production will begin no later than two years from the date of completion. All phases are planned to be completed within 5 years from the commencement of construction activities.
