LARGEST INVESTMENT TO DATE – GERRESHEIMER INVESTS IN THE SKOPJE 2 FREE ZONE
Today, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and Deputy Prime Minister Kocho Angjushev announced the largest investment to date by Germany’s Gerresheimer.
The investment is planned to develop in five phases, with 400 new jobs opening during the first phase. Highly skilled engineers, computer scientists, and electrical engineers will be employed.
Deputy Prime Minister Angjushev stated that this is the first direct investment by Gerresheimer in southeastern Europe, specifically in North Macedonia.
The company’s CEO, Dietmar Siemssen, announced through a video message that the construction of the plant for medical plastic in the Skopje 2 free zone will begin during the first half of the year, and production should start in the middle of the following year.
According to Mr. Siemssen, North Macedonia is an ideal location for expanding their production, due to its good infrastructure, low costs, trained personnel, and excellent support from the establishment.
