Belgium’s Van Hool to Invest €10 Million in Macedonia, and Create 400 Additional Jobs
Belgian bus manufacturer Van Hool willinvest an additional €15 million in the next four years in its Skopje plant and create 400 jobs.
Viktor Mizo, CEO of the Free Zones Authority, and Filip Van Hool,CEO of the Belgian company,signed an agreement in realization of the new investment project.
This year the company intends to erect a new depot and expand the dyeing department. In 2017/2018 the existing manufacturing lines will be doubled, which should result in the production of 900 busses,as opposed tothe current 500, and engagement of an additional 400 workers, the company’s owner said. By 2019, the number of employees in Van HoolMacedonia will reach 1,250, he added.
The Belgian company’s total investment since launching its operation in Macedonia two years ago, and initially announced €13 million, will reach over €40 million in the next four years.
