IBM Ranks Macedonia First Country Worldwide Regarding New Job Openings per Capita

Тhe Republic of Macedonia ranks first globally according to 2015 data considering job creation from direct foreign investments per capita in the Global Location Trends 2016 Annual Report released this August by the IBM Institute for Business Value. The Institute says that even small countries can be successful and Macedonia, for the second year running, tops the list of countries around the globe. In 2014 the country also took the number one spot in terms of jobs created per capita by foreign-­owned companies.

The annual report from the IBM Institute for Business Value measures the number of jobs created or committed by foreign­-owned companies during the 2015 calendar year.

The Global Location Trends 2016 Annual Report, in which Macedonia is ranked, is prepared by IBM ­ Plant Location International, devoted to corporate location and strategy for economic development worldwide. The organization compiles its own data bases on global location trends that monitor cross-­border Greenfield investments and investment expansion around the globe.
