Iprotex is a German company from the automotive industry that has decided to invest in Skopje 1 free zone in the Republic of North Macedonia.
On January 20, 2021, Iprotex and the North Macedonia Free Zones Authority singed  a state support agreement, under which this German company, part of the Innotech & Iprotex group, committed to an investment of 5 million euros and the creation of at least 30 jobs.
This company plans to move parts of the production including technology from Germany to North Macedonia. Iprotex in Skopje 1 free zone will start with the introduction of new technology, more precisely, a production line for extrusion of monofilaments will be introduced. This is a completely new area in the company’s portfolio.
The company Iprotex has been established in Germany since  1999. There are 6 factories located in 4 different continents and 2 sales representatives. The company deals with the production of materials for the automotive industry, technical textiles and thermal insulation materials. Recently, Iprotex is working on research and improvement of some new techniques for thermo-technical insulation of the automotive industry and also more recently, in 2019, a new agreement was established with the European Space Agency and NASA for the production of casing for satellite receivers of spacecraft.
