Europe Shock Absorbers, a unit of Italy’s Mediterr Shock Absorbers, announced construction of its plant in the Skopje 1 free zone in 2015. The initial investment was valued at €10 million, with plans to employ 100 people.  Future phases project that number to rise to 400.

The plant will be built in several phases on an area of 49,000m². The production facility is in the final phase of construction, and hiring is expected to start after initial training of personnel to work with high technology.

Mediterr Shock Absorbers is one of three companies in Europe to manufacture highly sophisticated shock absorbers for industrial and railway vehicles. The Turin-based multinational company has 2,300 employees and an annual turnover of €800 million.
