American Cap-Con to Invest USD 18 Million and to Open 400 Vacancies
The American company from the automotive industry Cap-Con Automotive Technologies will invest USD 18 million and will create 400 new jobs in the industrial zone in Skopje. The plant will produce inflators for airbags to be exported to the European market. Production is planned to start in the second quarter next year.
Contracts for the implementation of the investment were signed today in Skopje by representatives of the Macedonian government and the company CapCon.
CapCon CEO Ali ElHaj announced an investment in the construction of the most modern facility with highly sophisticated production lines in order to ensure the production and delivery of high quality products to its customers in Europe.
“CapCon chose Skopje to off shore its business and production for the markets in Europe. This production capacity once it becomes fully operational will employ about 400 people. We also plan to expand our activities here and open a technical center which will also have engineering support in this capacity”, said El-Haj after the agreement was signed.
