Germany’s ODW Elektrik Opens Plant In Ohrid/Struga Zone

Germany’s ODW Elektrik opened a new plant for the production of electronic components for the automotive industry in the Ohrid/Struga free zone. The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Kocho Angjushev, presided at the opening ceremony along with Martin Ehret, Chief Executive Officer of ODW Elektrik. The German company invested €4.7M in the construction of the plant, of which €1.7M were projected to equip the plant. The seven production lines employ 220 people in a facility that covers an area of ​​10,000m².

“Companies like ODW Elektrik are welcome in Macedonia, and they will continue to be wholly supported. I encourage ODW Elektrik and all other foreign investors to continue investing in Macedonia, where they will have full governmental support throughout all segments, “said Deputy Prime Minister Kocho Angjushev. The German company announced plans to implement two additional projects in the near future. By the end of 2018, they plan to employ a total of 300 people at their production plant.
