In the premises of the Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones a press conference was held regarding the Announcement for prequalification applications from prospective bidders for the execution and completion of a Public Private Partnership (PPP) Contract with the Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones on the founding, development and operating the TIDZ Tetovo with total land area of 947475 m² in ownership of the Republic of Macedonia.
30 industrial facilities, employing 7000 people, are planned to be build in the Technological Industrial Development Zone Tetovo, according to the principle of public-private partnership. From 18.03.2011 until 01.08.2011 all interested domestic and foreign companies can apply to the call for public-private partnership and qualification phase, not longer than 40 days, will follow, said Natasa Hadzi-Lega, Director of the Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones.
The Government remains on the concept of the Technological Industrial Development Zones as a model for attracting investments because it showed to operate successfully worldwide, but simultaneously are introducing public-private partnership model. That way we are expanding the opportunities for developing new models of Technological Industrial Development Zones. From the companies, whether foreign or domestic, apart from  the financial stability, experience in Free Zones development will be required, said Minister of Economy Fatmir Besimi.
