Director Dimovski Participates in the Macedonian-Turkish Business Forum

Organized by the Economic Chamber of Macedonia and the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEiK) of Turkey, a business forum was held today in Skopje, attended by the Director of TIDZ, Goce Dimovski. The forum brought together numerous high-ranking officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Timcho Mucunski, the Minister of Economy, Besar Durmishi, the Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski, and the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, Ömer Bolat.

Director Dimovski successfully presented the investment opportunities offered by Macedonia through its Technological Industrial Development Zones, emphasizing the strong cooperation with the Republic of Turkey as one of Macedonia’s strategic partners. In his address, Dimovski highlighted the new government’s commitment to creating even better conditions for foreign investors, further strengthening Macedonia’s position on the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) map.

“The Republic of Turkey remains a significant and reliable partner of our country in the field of investments. A large number of Turkish companies have recognized the potential and leveraged the advantages offered by the state for conducting business. The government will continue to support these investments and attract new foreign investors,” said Mucunski.

Minister Durmishi underscored that Macedonia and Turkey have excellent bilateral and trade cooperation, which has the potential to grow further in the coming period. He noted that the government views the business sector and investors as partners in supporting economic development.

In a video address, the President of the Economic Chamber, Branko Azeski, expressed expectations for new Turkish investments in the country, joint ventures in third markets, and greater participation of Macedonian companies at fairs in Turkey, which, he noted, can serve as a springboard to other major global markets.

Tamer Kiran, Vice President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), highlighted that the existing free trade agreement and the continuous improvement of the investment climate are expanding and deepening the scope of bilateral and trade relations between the two countries.

The Directorate for  TIDZ remains committed to creating and maintaining favorable conditions for foreign investors by ensuring a stable and predictable business climate. Such business forums, enabling direct dialogue between companies, investors, and state institutions, are of great importance for further strengthening economic ties, fostering new investments, and enhancing the business environment.
