Directorate for TIDZ among highly ranked institutions in the latest report on the implementation of the integrity system for 2024

As a state institution – signatory to the integrity policy, according to the Integrity Implementation Report prepared by the State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, the Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones was ranked 15th out of a total of 50 institutions, with 61.1% compliance with the integrity system.

The monitoring included 72 institutions from the central government, 72 local government units and 16 institutions from the justice sector. The achieved result represents a significant increase by one level, from the “average” level – to the “good” level, compared to 2023, when the percentage of compliance was 39.2%.

All this is due to numerous activities that were undertaken, such as the adoption of: Guidelines for preventing conflict of interest, Guidelines for handling gifts and hospitality, Code of Ethics, Rulebook for amending and supplementing the rulebook for the use and management of official vehicles, as well as Guidelines for amending and supplementing the guideline for conducting official trips. Trainings on preventing corruption and the integrity system were also conducted.

Integrity is a key factor in building strong institutions and gaining trust among citizens. The integrity system, as a strategic mechanism for preventing corruption and promoting transparency, ensures the harmonized implementation of laws, codes of ethics and policies, creating a clear framework and functional mechanisms for their application and protection.

As an institution, the Directorate continues to work towards improving and comprehensively implementing the integrity system. This result is a confirmation of the commitment to legal, independent, impartial, ethical, responsible and transparent performance of work, preserving the reputation and eliminating risks and doubts about the possibility of the emergence and development of corruption.
