Director Goce Dimovski part of the Macedonian–Japanese Business Forum in Skopje, business meetings held with leading Japanese companies

With the aim of deepening economic cooperation with Japan, Director Goce Dimovski today attended the Macedonian–Japanese Business Forum “LinkUP,” organized by the Japanese Embassy in North Macedonia. The event was opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mucunski, as well as the Ambassador of Japan, Setsuko Kawahara. The forum also featured speakers from a number of companies such as Mitsubishi, Takeda Pharmaceutical, Hitachi Energy, ITOCHU Corporation, and others.

In his address, Minister Timcho Mucunski emphasized that the economic relations between North Macedonia and Japan hold significant potential for further development, highlighting that the Government remains committed to creating a stable and predictable business environment that will encourage Japanese companies to recognize the country as an attractive investment destination. He noted that such events represent an important platform for direct networking between companies from both countries and for opening new opportunities for partnerships, technological cooperation, and high value-added investments.

Ambassador Setsuko Kawahara underlined that Japan and North Macedonia share long-standing friendly relations and expressed confidence that economic cooperation will continue to grow in the coming period. She pointed out that the interest of Japanese companies in the region is increasing, particularly in areas related to advanced technologies, energy, and innovation, with such business events serving as an important opportunity to establish new business connections and partnerships.

During the event, Director Dimovski held meetings with company representatives, where the investment opportunities offered by TIDZ were presented, with a focus on the stable business environment, competitive advantages, and the country’s strategic geographic position.
