TIDZ: 2000 NEW JOBS SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR

​​​​​​In the first ten months of the year, more than 2000 new jobs were opened in the companies in TIDZ, and the number of employees rose above 16,000 for the first time. This is an increase of 16% in one year, according to the regular monthly analysis. Almost 500 new jobs were created in October alone.

The positive growth trend since the beginning of the year continues in terms of exports and imports. As of October, exports from TIDZ grew to 3.122 billion euros, which exceeded last year’s level of exports of 3 billion euros in one year, which was a record level so far since the existence of the Zones. The analysis shows that the export in the first ten months of the year is 26% higher than in 2021, i.e. 50% higher compared to the same period in 2020.

From January to October 2022, an import of 2.806 billion euros was registered, which is 15% more compared to the first ten months of 2021, i.e. 43% compared to 2020. As of October, the net export is 11.25%, which among other things is due to the increased investment activities in the Zones and the increased number of jobs.

According to the analysis, the positive economic trends are the result of the effects of the new concept of TIDZ, and this positive trend is expected to continue until the end of the year. Since the beginning of the implementation of this concept, in the past 20 months, contracts worth over 620 million euros have been reached, and they should bring over 5000 new jobs.
