New investment worth 26 million euros, Avesta Holding invests again in Macedonia

The Director of TIDZ, Goce Dimovski, on the occasion of the officialization of the new investment worth 26 million euros of the Belgian Avesta Holding within the TIDZ Shtip, today in Ninove – Belgium, met with the company’s management. The meeting reviewed the company’s results so far, current activities, as well as further steps for the successful implementation of the investment project, and a tour of the production plant was also made.

Dimovski pointed out that this is a real example, proof of the active work and the improved approach of the new government when it comes to creating high added value. He emphasized that this project is of strategic importance for the entire national economy, and especially for the region of Shtip.

Noshin Omar, owner and president of Avesta Holding, expressed special gratitude for the support of the entire government, emphasizing that it was precisely the transparency, openness and professionalism of TIDZ that were key factors in the decision to realize a second investment in Macedonia. He explained that the new factory in TIDZ Shtip will produce advanced battery systems of the latest generation for electric mobility and stationary applications.

The construction of the new production capacity, according to the business plan, is planned to begin at the end of 2025, and its implementation will open up to 150 new, high-paying jobs in TIDZ Shtip. This is the second investment in a row by the Belgian company in the country, which is a direct result of the stable business climate, the proactive approach of the institutions and the new government policies aimed at supporting investors. With this, Macedonia further strengthens its position as an attractive and predictable destination on the map for foreign direct investments.
