German company Gerresheimer increases its investment in TIDZ Skopje 2
Within the continuous communication with all investors, director Goce Dimovski met with the management of the German company Gerresheimer, which is building its second factory in TIDZ Skopje 2. The meeting discussed the company’s activities to date and plans to increase the investment to 140 million euros, which initially amounted to 126 million euros.
Director Dimovski emphasized that this increase in investment is a positive sign for the success of the Directorate’s policies in cooperation with the Government. He pointed out that the increase in investor confidence is confirmation that the state can offer a stable, predictable and competitive business climate, which is of crucial importance for the implementation of long-term high-tech projects that will bring high added value to the entire economy.
Thomas Martins, Director of the factory in Skopje expressed satisfaction with the cooperation so far with the Directorate for TIDZ and the Government, emphasizing that it was precisely the stable support and open communication that were key factors in the decision to expand the investment. He stressed that this expanded investment will generate a broader industrial and economic impact on the region, including higher technological standards and strengthened supplier networks, with an expected increase in the average annual sales growth of the location.
This increase from 126 million euros to 140 million euros, seriously positions the German pharmaceutical company Gerresheimer as a serious investment in the history of independent Macedonia, with new high-paying jobs expected. The Directorate for TIDZ continues to actively work on improving the business climate, in order to attract new foreign direct investments, as well as encouraging existing investors to expand their projects, in order to promote Macedonia as an attractive location for foreign investors.
