Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski emphasized in his address that the investment of Magna Mechatronics will be a strong accelerator of economic development and positive changes in our country.

“This investment is not just a capital project, but a true story of trust, partnership and shared vision. It extends over 18,000 square meters, for which around 40 million euros will be invested, and from the presentations of the previous speakers we can conclude that more than 600 people will be employed at the very peak of the investment.” – said Mickoski.

The Director of TIDZ, Goce Dimovski, said that the opening of this factory, in addition to creating new jobs, will also strengthen the competitiveness of our country as a location for new foreign direct investments.

“For the past 9 months, together with the Government, we have been working hard to create an even more attractive, sustainable and competitive environment for foreign investors, and we are currently working on certain regulations, all with one goal, which is for Macedonia to align with global trends that are taking place in the area of attracting foreign direct investments.” – said Dimovski.

The President of Magna Mechatronics Mirrors and Lighting, Jeff Hunt, announced that the focus will be on the production of numerous mechatronic products that provide an innovative approach for customers and a better driving experience.

“As market leaders in mechatronics, we are excited to continue developing these products and we will do so on the successful foundation we have already laid here in North Macedonia,” said Hahn.

Uwe Geisinger, President of Magna Europa, emphasized that with this investment they recognize the enormous potential of this region.

“By securing locations across the continent, we are better positioned to serve our customers, respond to market demands and stimulate innovation in the automotive industry. The new factory is an indication of our belief in the power of collaboration, the strength of local talent and the importance of sustainable development,” said Geisinger.

The General Director of Magna Mechatronics Shtip, Goran Despinoski, indicated that TIDZ Shtip was chosen as a location for investment after the positive experiences from their factory in Struga, where they have 1,000 employees and an investment of 30 million euros, as well as the good infrastructure, good utility prices, qualified labor force and support from the Government.

“We will finish this year with 350 employees, 2026 with 440, and then from 2027 over 600,” Despinoski said.
