Support for foreign investments outside the zones continues, new investment by EPSOTECH worth 20 million euros, opening of 110 new jobs

In August of this year, the German-Belgian company Epsotech will start construction activities for the construction of a new production facility in the municipality of Petrovec, outside the technological development zones (TIDZ). This significant investment, worth 20 million euros, will create more than 110 new jobs and will include the production of elements for the automotive, rail and healthcare industries.

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, who welcomed the investment, said he expects this initiative to be at least doubled. “It is our honor and pleasure to welcome another investment after less than two weeks. To begin with, there will be 110 new jobs, the development of a research center, something that has been missing or very little until now. But this investment does not stop here, the number of employees and exports will continue to increase, and the investment itself, which we expect to be at least doubled,” Mickoski said.

The CEO of Epsotech Macedonia, Alamavi, emphasized that the company has 60 years of experience and will bring many skills to Macedonia. “We hope that we will open more than 110 jobs here, which will be mostly in the mechanical and engineering branch. We would like to start with the construction of a new building, that is, with an investment of approximately 20 million euros. We want to expand our activities with production facilities here in Skopje, ie to work on opening a factory and new machines,” said Alamavi.

The company, known for its environmental standards, will also bring a new Research and Development Center. This center will hire highly skilled people, which will add great value to the investment. Alamavi noted that Epsotech uses recycled materials and uses wind and solar energy in its operations. “We recycle materials from agriculture and fisheries, give them a new life cycle and play a very important role in protecting the environment and reducing carbon dioxide emissions,” he added.

The Director of the Directorate for Technological and Industrial Development Zones (TIDZ), Goce Dimovski, also welcomed this investment, noting that the support of foreign direct investments outside the TIDZ is crucial for the economic development of Macedonia. “This investment is an example of a successful foreign investment that brings significant benefits to our economy. Their commitment and investments represent a model that other companies should follow,” Dimovski said.

This initiative is another proof of the Government’s commitment to creating a favorable business climate and encouraging economic development throughout the country. Cooperation with companies like Epsotech confirms the Government’s strategy for attracting foreign investments and creating new jobs, which is a key factor for sustainable economic growth and development.
