SWITZERLAND’S BAUMER MARKS THE START OF OPERATION IN THE SKOPJE 1 FREE ZONE
Baumer is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of sensors, measurement, testing, and navigation instruments, using the latest technology which is used in the automotive, industrial, medical, aviation, mobile, and construction industries. The company is present with 38 subsidiaries across 19 countries, with over 2,700 employees. Baumer will invest €4.7 million in the initial phase of their plant in North Macedonia, and will employ 150 people. Ultimately, the company expects to employ a total of 500 people.
Aleksandar Mladenovski, CEO of North Macedonia Free Zones, congratulated the owners and managers of Baumer on the start of operation.
“In a short period of time both sides, Baumer’s managers and all of us at North Macedonia Free Zones, as well as the Government’s economic team, put forth a great effort and achieved all of the points of the planned construction and equipping of the plant in order for the plant to begin operations, ” stated Mladenovski.
