The Director of TIDZ, Dimovski presented the investment potentials of Macedonia to more than 50 Japanese companies

The director of TIDZ, Goce Dimovski, presented the economic opportunities and potentials offered by Macedonia to more than 50 Japanese companies, including giants such as Toshiba, Mitsubishi, Nippon Steel, Mabuchi Motor and others. At the Business Seminar in Dusseldorf, organized in cooperation with the Japanese Foreign Trade Organization, JETRO, Dimovski presented the new government measures to support investments as well as the new economic perspectives and opportunities available to Japanese companies.

“The Macedonian government is unwavering in its commitment to encourage a developed economy. Our primary commitment and focus is the economy and the promotion of new investments. With new, targeted measures, we are already changing the investment climate. We become true business partners. Japan has a huge economic and investment potential and can become an important partner for accelerated growth of Macedonia. Thanks to the great interest from Japanese companies. “I strongly believe that we will soon see the first Japanese investment in the country,” said Dimovski. The director of TIDZ emphasized that he will continue to work on improving the cooperation between JETRO and TIDZ, which opens up new opportunities for Japanese companies.

The Japanese companies expressed satisfaction with the presentation and the opportunity to get to know the investment opportunities offered by the country. Japanese companies were mostly interested in the availability of qualified labor in the challenges and critical factors that should be taken into account when entering the Macedonian market and the potential for cooperation with Macedonian companies.

At the event, the Japanese ambassador to the country, Otsuka Kazuya, as well as the general directors of JETRO in Vienna, Warsaw, Prague, Budapest, Bucharest, who presented the economic potential of the Balkan region and Central and Eastern Europe, also addressed the event.

Only Macedonia, represented by the director of TIDZ, Dimovski, had a special presentation of economic opportunities, which indicates its unique position and potential as an investment destination.

This Business Seminar is part of the activities that follow the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between TIDZ and JETRO, the purpose of which is the easier entry of Japanese companies into the country, as well as the establishment of closer cooperation between Macedonian and Japanese companies.
