THE TREND OF GROWTH IN TIDZ CONTINUES – OVER 1300 NEW JOBS SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR

​In the first eight months of the year, more than 1300 new jobs were opened in the companies in TIDZ, which continues the trend of employee growth since the beginning of the year, shows the regular analysis of TIDZ. In August alone, more than 200 new jobs were opened in the companies in the zones, with which the total number of employees grew and reached 15,328. This is 8.5% more compared to the same month last year, i.e. 16.5% more compared to August 2020.

The positive growth trend since the beginning of the year continues in terms of exports and imports. As of August, exports from TIDZ have grown and exceeded 2.3 billion euros, which is the highest level in the last four years compared to the same period. Exports from January to August are 13% higher compared to the same period in 2021, i.e. 70% higher compared to 2020, and 25% and 48% higher compared to 2019, i.e. 2018. Only in August, the companies in TIDZ achieved exports of almost 300 million euros, which is 8% more than in August last year.

From January to August 2022, imports of 2.1 billion euros were registered, which is the highest level compared to the same period in the past four years. This is 4% more compared to the first eight months of 2021, i.e. 70% compared to 2020, and 22% and 62% more compared to 2019, i.e. 2018. Imports by companies in TIDZ in August is 283 million euros, which is 5% higher than the same month last year. As of August, the net export is 8.5%.

In the first eight months of this year, contracts with a total volume of over 370 million euros were reached in TIDZ, two of which are the largest investments so far with individual investments of over 100 million euros – the German pharmaceutical company Gerresheimer  invests 126 million euros in a new capacity and the German manufacturer of electric cars E.go will invest 130 million euros. Negotiations are ongoing with and with several other potential investors, within the framework of the new concept of work of TIDZ, introduced last year.
