TIDZ: 2000 NEW JOBS IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS

In just one year, about 2000 new jobs were opened in the companies in TIDZ. The number of employees in the zones rose to 17,558 in September, which is 13% more compared to the same period last year, and 25% and 31% more than September 2021, that is, 2020. The regular monthly analysis of the Directorate shows that the continuous growth of employees continued and in just one month, 200 of our fellow citizens got new jobs.

As of September, the growth of exports and imports was also registered. In the first nine months of the year, the companies in the Zones achieved exports of 2.8 billion euros, which is 8% more compared to the same period last year. In September alone, exports reached 329 million euros, and compared to the beginning of the year, exports increased by 19%. Imports since the beginning of the year have reached over 2.3 billion euros. Only in September of this year, the companies in TIDZ made imports of 275 million euros, which is a 20% lower level compared to September 2022, but a 45% and 55% higher level compared to the ninth month of 2021 and 2020.

Due to these economic trends, net export is also positive, and as of September it is 22%.

It is expected that this positive growth trend will continue until the end of the year due to the increased volume of concluded investment contracts. This year alone, contracts worth 350 million euros have been concluded, where part of the planned 6,000 new jobs are already being implemented.
