Director Dimovski at the Balkan Alumni Summit: We are working hard to improve the business climate where everyone will have equal opportunities for growth and development

Today, on the second day of the Balkan Alumni Summit program, Director Goce Dimovski, as the keynote speaker, addressed the topic “Building a Financial Ecosystem for Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation: Enabling Growth in Regional Markets”. Dimovski emphasized the efforts of the Directorate for TIDZ, which, in cooperation with the Government and all stakeholders, is working hard to improve the national economy where everyone will have equal opportunities for growth and development, and young people will see their future here, in their homeland, in the Balkans.

“We are in negotiations with several multinational companies, and we have already laid the foundation stone for 3 new factories that will open over 2000 jobs in the next few years. These investments will bring new opportunities for the development of young people, which will allow them to be part of global corporations, and yet be here, at home. These investments will bring new technologies and innovations, opening their own research and development centers where young people will have the chance to gain strategic experience here, in Macedonia.”

Director Dimovski emphasized that Macedonia and the Balkans must not be a place of brain drain, but a place where young people will have opportunities for development, which requires unconditional and transparent regional cooperation that will focus on the long-term development of the entire Balkans.

“Our task, as an institution, together with the government, is to create an environment where the private sector will recognize and value the potential of young people, and young people will see a secure future in this region.”

The summit, organized by the Macedonian-American Alumni Association (MAAA) with support from the U.S. Embassy, brought together former students of exchange programs funded by the U.S. government from seven countries: Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Bulgaria.
