11 MACEDONIAN INVESTMENT PROJECTS SELECTED AT THE PUBLIC CALL INTENDED FOR DOMESTIC COMPANIES

Eleven investment projects have been selected at the Public Call for Technical Assistance for the Development of TIDZ Suppliers intended for Macedonian companies. A five-member commission composed of several independent experts and organizations, as well as representatives of the International Finance Corporation, IFC evaluated the submitted investment projects. The main evaluation criteria were market potential, project team capacity, project quality and impact.

Investment projects of the following companies were selected for the call: Metalna Industria Bratstvo, Ruen Inox Avtomobile, Kentaur Impex, Alkaloid AD, Savelo Dragoljub DOOEL, Detal Weld Engineering, Ivona-P, Techcom, Bisera Commerce and TGT Gradba Promet. The chosen ones are medium and large companies from Kavadarci, Ohrid, Skopje, Strumica, Kočani and Bitola. The companies are predominantly export companies with a realized income of over 200 million euros in the last year. 65% of the revenues these companies realize from exports to the EU, the USA, Asia, the Middle East, Canada, Africa and the Western Balkans. The investment projects of the selected companies are from the field of metal processing industry, automotive, pharmaceutical, mechanical, wood, construction, processing and creative industries. According to the submitted project plans, among the main goals of the companies is the promotion of exports, the conquest of new markets, becoming part of the supply chain of foreign companies in the country, as well as professional expert support with the aim of reducing production costs, which will enable an increase in competitiveness. on foreign markets.

Twenty investment projects were submitted to this call. This is just the first phase of the Supplier Development Program. Macedonian companies whose investment projects are selected in this phase will receive technical assistance in order to strengthen their export capacities, become more competitive and be part of the supply chain of foreign companies in the country, but they will also receive technical assistance for the finalization of investment plans. After the successful completion of the technical support, the companies will have the opportunity to provide financial support for the implementation of the investment plans within the framework of the TIDZ and Government programs.

The public call for Supplier Development intended for domestic medium and large companies is implemented by TIDZ in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, and supported by the Swiss Secretariat for Economic Affairs, SECO.
