NEW INVESTMENT IN TIDZ – AN AGREEMENT ACHIEVED WITH THE TURKISH COMPANY “SHAHTERM” FOR AN INVESTMENT OF 70 MILLION EUROS

The Turkish company “Shahterm” will invest 70 million euros in the construction of a new production facility in TIDZ Skopje. The investment decision was reached at the meeting in Bursa, Republic of Turkey, of the director of TIDZ, Jovan Despotovski, and the general manager of the company Faruk Sahin.

“With today’s decision, Shahterm becomes a new member of the TIDZ family.” The talks, especially this last round, were not easy at all. But what is important in the end is the company’s decision to invest in Macedonia and to have 1,000 new jobs for our fellow citizens,” said Despotovski when announcing the decision at the company’s headquarters. He also expressed his gratitude to all institutions, as well as the Embassy of North Macedonia in Ankara, for their support during the talks with the company.

“Today’s success is also a success for the expert team from the TIDZ Directorate, who in an extremely short time managed to recognize our key requirements and needs, which made this decision possible today.” We continue to grow together,” said Shahin, the general manager of Shahterm.

The company will start the realization of the investment in 2024 and in the next 10 years it is planned to create more than 1,000 new jobs.
