Dimovski: We are actively working on the overall national economic growth and development through serious support of all companies
On the occasion of one year of successful work of the Government, a press conference was held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. Minister Timcho Mucunski and the Director of the Directorate for TIDZ, Goce Dimovski, presented the key results and achievements in the past 12 months, as well as the strategic priorities for the coming period.
Dimovski pointed out the successful work of the Directorate for TIDZ, taking into account the new investments realized and agreed to date, with a total value of over 280 million euros and 2900 new jobs. At the same time, he also informed about four new multinational companies that have already made an internal decision to invest within the framework of the TIDZ.
“In the period from July 2024 to June 2025, we realized investments worth more than 190 million euros in the TIDZ, which will create 2,000 new jobs. Four new investments worth over 90 million euros have been agreed, which will create 900 new jobs and significantly increase exports from Macedonia. At the same time, four multinational companies have already made an internal decision to invest in the TIDZ, which means that the total value of these investments is expected to be over 150 million euros with 1,300 new jobs. Within the zones, we also realized capital investments worth more than 7.7 million euros, which is a significant step forward in improving the infrastructure and working conditions for all investors.” – said Dimovski.
Regarding the serious approach of this government in attracting foreign investments, he added about the new investment outside the zones of the multinational company LEAR, which has been operating in the TIDZ for a long time. “This is an investment of 11 million euros in the field of services, which will employ more than 200 highly educated people and which represents the first such foreign investment in this area in the history of independent Macedonia,” he added.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, together with the diplomatic network, has been pursuing an active, dynamic and effective policy. “In the period from the establishment of the Government to the present, with the newly set goals and priorities of the Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, we have achieved a substantial redefinition of Macedonian foreign policy – expanded to include the foreign trade portfolio,” stressed Minister Timcho Mucunski.
A key step in this direction was the adoption of the new Law on Foreign Affairs. “With this law, we have increased the mandatory percentage of professional ambassadors, improved the working conditions of diplomats, assumed responsibilities in the area of foreign trade and established a clear legal framework for the role of the legislature in international relations,” Mucunski emphasized.
