Director Goce Dimovski today attended the German-Macedonian Business Summit organized by AHK North Macedonia and the German-Macedonian Economic Association (DMWV). The event was attended by numerous representatives of the business community, government and non-government sectors, and the Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski gave an introductory speech.

Dimovski outlined the current activities of the Government and the Directorate in terms of attracting new investments in the panel discussion on the topic “Investment Perspectives in North Macedonia: Opportunities and Challenges” which also included Nikola Ljusev, CEO of Makedonski Telekom, Katerina Boshevska, Director of EOS Matrix Macedonia, Viktor Mizo, President of the Foreign Investors Council, Vladimir Stefanovski, General Manager of Kiel, Macedonia and Milan Damchevski, Member of the Board of Directors of ProCredit Bank.

“Germany is one of Macedonia’s largest economic partners, and this is evidenced by the fact that almost a third of the companies investing in the Technological Industrial Zones come from this country. I believe that this is the best indicator of the trust that German companies have in our business environment, but at the same time, it is also a confirmation of the quality of our offer as a country – not only in terms of benefits and infrastructure, but also in terms of human capital, institutional support and the policies pursued by the new Government.” – Dimovski emphasized.

The panel discussion offered an opportunity for an open conversation and exchange of views regarding the achievements in German-Macedonian economic relations so far, as well as the very impact of the current German investments in the country on the economic development of Macedonia. This summit marks the 25th anniversary of the German associations in the country, with a significant achievement in the long-standing partnership and successful economic development between the two countries.
