Director Goce Dimovski today participated in a panel discussion at the Italian-Macedonian Business Forum organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Skopje in cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency – ITA (Italian Trade Agency) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Republic of North Macedonia.

The forum represented an important platform for the presentation of business opportunities in key strategic sectors such as infrastructure, energy transition and circular economy, digitalization and technological innovation, financial instruments for supporting investments, as well as the opportunities offered by TIDZs.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mucunski, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, Maria Tripodi, gave the opening remarks.

“Economic policy is one of the key strategic priorities of our Government, and I expressed my conviction that we, as institutions, are true partners of companies – ready to offer full support and facilitate the process of realizing their business plans and ideas.” – stressed Mucunski.

As part of the panel discussion “Technological Innovations (Agro-Tech and Industry 5.0)”, Dimovski successfully presented the benefits offered by the TIDZ for foreign investors.

“Investors in the zones have access to state-of-the-art infrastructure, which reduces additional costs in order to quickly start business activities. In addition, various incentives are offered in the area of state aid, offering a standard and flexible structure, based on an analysis of the business plan. – said Dimovski.

Regarding the expectations of potential investors from Italy, he pointed out: “I can freely guarantee overall support from us as an institution, as well as from the entire Government and other institutions. This is also evidenced by the high score we received from the users of the zones, which was 4.48 out of 5, taking into account that there are already Italian companies that successfully operate within the TIDZ.”

The event was attended by numerous government representatives, as well as a business delegation of about 40 Italian companies and financial institutions. The purpose of the event was to promote bilateral cooperation, exchange and investment, during which B2B and B2G meetings were also held.
