Director Goce Dimovski part of the second session of the Austrian-Macedonian Joint Commission for Bilateral Trade and Economic Relations in Vienna
Director Goce Dimovski, as part of the Macedonian delegation led by Elena Kuzmanovska, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, participated today in the second session of the Joint Commission for Bilateral Trade and Economic Relations between Macedonia and Austria. On the Austrian side, the delegation consisting of numerous high-ranking representatives was led by Elisabeth Weissenbeck from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism (BMWET), Head of the Directorate for Foreign Economic Relations.
With the aim of deepening economic relations and increasing trade exchange, an overview of the economic situation in both countries, the status and prospects of relations as well as the opportunities for further development of bilateral economic relations was made.
Within the framework of the topic of Competitiveness (Nearshoring), Dimovski highlighted the investment opportunities offered by the zones, emphasizing the readiness for new projects that will bring added value to all stakeholders. In addition, he pointed out the results so far, the record amount of FDI for 2024 of a total of 1.255 billion euros, which is twice as high as in 2023.
The first meeting of the Joint Commission, established in accordance with Article 13 of the Agreement between the Macedonian and Austrian Governments, signed on June 26, 1997, was held on October 25, 2010, in Skopje.
