GROSS SALARY IN TIDZ IN MARCH 2024 REACHED 1100 EUROS
The analysis of TIDZ shows that the average gross salary in companies in TIDZ reached over 1100 euros in March, which is almost 10% above the national average. In comparison, the average net salary in the Zones reached over 43,000 denars, which is more than twice the average salary of 19,000 denars registered in 2016.
In the first quarter of the year, the number of employees continues to grow. As of March, more than 18,100 of our fellow citizens work in companies in TIDZ, which is 10% more compared to March 2023. In the last seven years, more than 11,800 new jobs have been created in TIDZ alone, compared to 6,282 in 2016.
Exports and imports in the Zones have recorded steady growth since the beginning of the year, despite the negative trends in the European economy, especially in Germany, which is the main export destination. The companies in the Zones in the first three months of the year realized 820 million euros in exports, while imports are at the level of 730 million euros.
Due to these economic trends, the net export as of March alone is positive by 7%, while for the first quarter of the year it is 12% in total.
It is expected that this positive growth trend, which has been continuous for the fourth year in a row, will continue due to the increased volume of concluded investment contracts. Only last year, contracts with a total volume of over 450 million euros were reached in TIDZ, which created 7000 new jobs, some of which are already being implemented.
