New investment worth 25 million euros in TIDZ Skopje 2, 200 new jobs
The official laying of the foundation stone today marked the beginning of construction works on the new factory of the Turkish company Shahterm in TIDZ Skopje 2. The investment in the first phase alone will amount to 25 million euros with 200 new jobs, while the plan is to have a second phase where the total value will amount to 50 million euros with 500 employees.
The Director of TIDZ, in his address, welcomed the start of the construction works, emphasizing the importance of the project for the overall economic development.
“The benefits of this new investment are numerous. The investment in the first phase alone will amount to 25 million euros with 200 new jobs, while the plan is to have a second phase where the total value will amount to 50 million euros with over 500 employees. We continue to support all investments that create high added value in the economy by implementing advanced technologies and creating new well-paid jobs.” – stated Dimovski.
The event was attended by the Prime Minister, Hristijan Mickoski, the President and Founder of Shahterm, Faruk Sahin, the Ambassador of Turkey Fatih Ulusoy, Murat Evke, President of Rumelisiad, as well as other esteemed government representatives.
The Prime Minister pointed out that this is a project that develops the economy and confirms the stability and progress of our country, which will contribute to strengthening the Macedonian industry and exports.

I extend special gratitude and recognition to Goce Dimovski, Director of the Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones, to His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Macedonia, to the members of the Government and to all institutions for their dedication, professionalism and enormous contribution to the realization of this project.”
Faruk Sahin, President and Founder of Shakhterm, introduced the company, emphasizing that it exports 60 percent of its production.
Shahterm, with more than 40 years of experience in the design and production of heating systems for white goods and household appliances, is currently part of the leading five companies in this industry globally, with more than half of its annual production destined for markets outside Turkey.
