NORTH MACEDONIA FREE ZONES PARTICIPATES AT THE 54TH BME SYMPOSIUM IN BERLIN
The Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics (BME) Association is organizing the largest symposium of network partners from industry, commerce, public institutions and the financial sector in Berlin from the 13th to the 15th of November. Founded in 1954, BME is the professional association for supply chain managers, buyers and logisticians in Germany and Central Europe.
North Macedonia Free Zones’ participation, led by Deputy Director, Pajazit Lika, is an opportunity to establish business contacts with over 2,000 exhibitors and tens of thousands of symposium visitors.
The North Macedonia Free Zones exhibition booth was visited by Dr. Silvius Grobosch, CEO of BME, who reaffirmed the strong commitment to deepen cooperation with the free zones and investors in the zones in the Republic of North Macedonia. Mr. Grobosch underlined the assurance of the Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics Association to engage in knowledge transfer through the continuous exchange of experience, training and continuing education of qualified staff, as well as scientific work in new methods, procedures and techniques.
Mr. Helge Tolksdorf, Director of EU Enlargement at the German Ministry of Economy, met with representatives of North Macedonia Free Zones and expressed interest in the country’s economic policies and measures to attract foreign investment, particularly in support of companies located in free zones throughout the country.
Representatives of the North Macedonian Association of Metal and Electrical Industry (MAMEI) were also present at the symposium in Berlin. The association, MAMEI, was established with the goal to unify North Macedonia’s companies from these particular sectors, and to offer support and quality business services that will fasten their growth and development. MAMEI was founded with the support from the Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE), SIPPO Swiss Import Promotion Program.
