Signed agreement for the realization of the new investment of the Turkish company Shahterm in TIDZ

The director of TIDZ, Jovan Despotovski, and the general manager of the company “Shahterm”, Faruk Sahin, signed an agreement for the realization of the new Turkish investment in Macedonia. The contract signed in Bursa foresees the lease of land in TIDZ Skopje 2 with an area of ​​over 20,000 m2 and the construction of a building with an area of ​​over 13,000 m2. This is the first of the two phases of the realization of the investment.

The signing of the agreement follows only 4 months after the announcement of the new Turkish investment in the country. The Turkish company also increased the initially planned investment from 70 million euros to 100 million euros. According to the business plan, the company foresees the opening of 1000 new jobs in the next 10 years. The new investment will include a center for research and development, and will represent the first production capacity of “Shahterm” outside the Republic of Turkey.

The signing of the agreement is part of the visit to Turkey of a delegation of TIDZ led by Despotovski, which also includes a presentation of investment opportunities to Turkish companies. The signing was also attended by the Macedonian ambassador to Turkey, Jovan Manasievski, and Junayt Šener, vice president of the board of directors of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce.

Otherwise, the company “Shahterm” has more than 40 years of experience in the design and production of heating systems for white goods and household appliances. At the moment, “Shahterm” is part of the leading five companies in this activity globally, with more than half of the annual production intended for markets outside Turkey.

The list of clients is made up of famous world manufacturers of white goods and household appliances such as “Whirlpool”, “Amika”, “Gorenje”, “Beko” and “Candy”.
