Successful meetings with senior representatives of esteemed global investment companies

As part of the government delegation to the United Arab Emirates, led by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, Director Goce Dimovski held several meetings, including with Mohamed Alabar, founder and managing director of Eagle Hills, Mohamed Hassan Al-Suwaidi, director of Abu Dhabi Development Holding Company (ADQ) – a major global investor, as well as with Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, executive director of Masdar Energy Investment Company, one of the world’s largest investors in renewable energy and drivers of the energy transition.

Director Dimovski, together with Prime Minister Mickoski and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Aleksandar Nikoloski, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mucunski and other senior government officials, presented the investment opportunities within the TIDZ, which offer numerous advantages and potential, and expressed efforts to put Macedonia on the map of global investors.

At the same time, the meetings discussed projects, opportunities and plans for investment in Macedonia, which as a country has been late in lobbying to be on the investment map of these world economic giants, all with the aim of ensuring a future and prosperity for the citizens of Macedonia.

ADQ and the government of Egypt signed an agreement last year for ADQ to invest 35 billion US dollars in the development of Ras el-Hekma on the Egyptian Mediterranean coast. The agreement gives ADQ the right to develop 130 million square meters of land, which is the largest foreign investment agreement in Egypt’s history.

Masdar is a pioneer in clean energy, positioning the UAE at the forefront of the global energy transition. It is present and supports more than 40 countries in their energy transition.

The Directorate for TIDZ, in cooperation with the government, continues to work hard to attract new value-added investments, which will contribute to the advancement of the overall national economy.
