Transformation of non-functional technological industrial development zones into industrial zones with the aim of creating opportunities for greater development of domestic companies and stimulating local economic development
Director Goce Dimovski today held a meeting with the mayors of the municipality of Vinica – Mitko Kostadinovski, the municipality of Delčevo – Ivan Gocevski, the municipality of Kratovo – Todorče Nikolovski, the municipality of Radoviš – Ljupče Počivalec, the municipality of Rankovce – Daniel Pavlovski, as well as the secretary of the municipality of Kicevo – Aleksandar Mickoski. The meeting was focused on future activities related to the transformation of technological industrial development zones into industrial zones and their handover under the jurisdiction of the local government, in order to create a more efficient management model and stimulate local economic development.
Director Goce Dimovski emphasized that the transformation process represents an important step towards greater economic development at the local level, as well as strengthening the role of municipalities. He emphasized the importance of a coordinated and gradual approach to the handover process, in order to ensure continuity in the functioning of the zones and to avoid possible obstacles during the transformation period.
The local government expressed its readiness for active cooperation and constructive involvement in the entire process, in order to ensure a smooth transition and efficient assumption of responsibilities. The mayors and representatives of the municipalities emphasized that such a model opens up new opportunities for faster local development, better management of the existing infrastructure, greater flexibility in decision-making related to economic activities in their municipalities and creating opportunities for the development of domestic companies.
